NOTE: a mailbox is available at the Mariner Inn front desk and stamps can be purchased in the diveshop on the Moorings dock.

Shipping

  • Clients may ship packages via Federal Express (284-494-2297) or DHL (284-494-4659) to Road Town, Tortola. The client is required to sign and pay any duty charges.
  • If it is a letter or 'small' package, it can be sent directly to the Base where it will be held for them in Customer Service office. In this case, we recommend the client call Customer Service (284-494-2331/2) and alert them of the forthcoming delivery.

  • Cable & Wireless (British Virgin Islands) provides a range of reliable services including cardphones, payphones and credit card calling facilities.
  • VHF radio is also widely used but is subject to 'line of site'.

  • In the B.V.I. telephone cards are available from Cable & Wireless, grocery stores and various outlets including the Dockside supermarket at the Moorings marina.
  • All public pay phones will take these cards.
  • Cards are sold in various denominations starting at US$5.00. Major credit cards are also accepted.

Internet Connectivity

  • No Internet Cafe near the base
  • Mariner Inn: the restaurant offers complementary WI-FI, client must have heir own computer. DSL access is available in the rooms.
