CAPTAIN
- Jacques Yves Gruel Born into a sailing family, Frenchman Jacques
Yves built his own 37 foot yacht in 1977.
After cruising the west coast
of Europe for several years, he sailed it across the Atlantic in 1984, ending
up in the Caribbean, a locale he fell in love with and decided to make his home.
There, he ran an 84 foot day-charter catamaran in St. Martin. As a 2 year
interruption from the day charter business, Jacques Yves took on the position
of Dock Manager with the Moorings in 1994, then returned to captain a private
yacht in Antibes, where he has remained since 2001, returning to the Caribbean
each season.
Charterers will find Jacques an extremely friendly host,
and a great sailor with a keen sense of responsibility, and excellent knowledge
of the local area. Jacques Yves speaks fluent French and English. | HOSTESS
